Another Semester Down

I finally finished this semester. Some of my classes were really hard so I glad this semester is over.

I submitted to PitchWars, and sadly I didn't get in. But one of the mentors gave me some really helpful feedback on my first five pages. So I will be taking that feedback I got from my mentor and working with my beta on getting the first three chapters into shape before I send off to agents in January.

Hello World, I hope wherever you are you are trying to stay as safe as possible. This is going to be a difficult next few months.  My town so far has not had any major issues as our count of the infected is still low, but I am taking extreme precautions. Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

In my quest to one day in my writing career to write books for middle grade, I decided the best I could try and learn what it takes to write a middle grade book was to read them and evaluating what the author does to the books that makes them appealing to kids. The only children's books I have ever enjoyed reading were the Harry Potter series and the Junie B. Jones books by Barbara Parker, and it's mostly because I grew up with the books and saw as each new title was released each year and displayed in the bookstores. I went around asking many for recommendations and I was told the Percy Jackson books. So, I really didn't enjoy reading Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments.  But my friends who recommended me to read Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments told me I may like her other series Infernal Devices better, so I decided to check out.
