Olympics: Gymnastics Men Team Final

Image
On Men's qualification day, the top two countries China and Japan has disastrous results and team U.S.A was first. So far so good. Then in the team final one fall and it just started causing bad momentum for the team. First Sam fell on exercise. Then two falls on pommel horse, and a mess up on vault, U.S finished in 5th. The question was what happened to them after day one? Jonathon Horton then stated how they're young, but they'll get there.

Olympics Qualification for Women's Gymnastics & Two Per Country Rule

Image
I won't deny it I'm a big fan of gymnastics, I used to do it when I was little but too many threatening injuries and I had to stop. I love to watch the Olympics, the only sport I watch during the Olympics is gymnastics. The Women's Gymnastics team of the U.S.A. finished first in qualification and then something happened that the Americans didn't like and were demanding rule changes. The same happens every year in the Olympics, something happens and then because of the rules they automatically demand a rule change. So what happened that caused this sudden outcry from Americans was simple. The International Federation of Gymnastics (FIG) has a rule stating that only two gymnast per country can compete in Event finals and in the All-Around. 2011 World Champion Jordyn Wieber of the U.S. missed out due to mistakes on balance beam during qualification, and deductions from stepping our of bounds on floor exercise. Her other two teammates Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman performed...

Wicked Lovely Series by Melissa Marr

Image
This is one of my absolute favorite series and it inspired me to write my own series about one of my favorite trends! Rule #3: Don't stare at invisible faeries.Aislinn has always seen faeries. Powerful and dangerous, they walk hidden in the mortal world. Aislinn fears their cruelty - especially if they learn of her Sight - and wishes she were as blind to their presence as other teens. Rule #2: Don't speak to invisible faeries. Now faeries are stalking her. One of them, Keenan, who is equal parts terrifying and alluring, is trying to talk to her, asking questions Aislinn is afraid to answer. Rule #1: Don't ever attract their attention. But it's too late. Keenan is the Summer King, who has sought his queen for nine centuries. Without her, summer itself will perish. He is determined that Aislinn will become the Summer Queen at any cost — regardless of her plans or desires.Suddenly none of the rules that have kept Aislinn safe are working anymore, and everything is on the lin...

Dream Catcher Series by Lisa McMann

Image
This is one another one of my favorite book series I have read and I hope people get the chance to read this book series because I find it remarkable, and something different!  Wake (Book 1) For seventeen-year-old Janie, getting sucked into other people's dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody-notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie's seen enough fantasy booty to last her a lifetime. She can't tell anybody about what she does -- they'd never believe her, or worse, they'd think she's a freak. So Janie lives on the fringe, cursed with an ability she doesn't want and can't control. Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare, one that chills her to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more than a witness to someone else's twisted psyche. She is a participant.... Fade (Book 2) For Janie and Cabel, real life is getting tougher than the dreams. They're just trying to carve out a little (secret) time together,...

Wolves of Mercy Falls Trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater

Image
This is one of my favorite book series ever in the world to read. I have always had an obsession about wolves, and I love this series and recommend people to read it. Shiver Book 1 The dark blonde haired and brown eyed Grace has always watched and obsessed over the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed grey-furred wolf —her wolf— has a chilling presence she cannot seem to live without since her attack by the wolves six years ago meant her meeting with her wolf. Since the incident, something happened between the two, a connection the grew every winter when the wolf would come watch Grace as she settle in her yard; often reading or doing homework and watching him back all day.Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, inside frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl, the girl he saved, the one who would change him in the near future. In summer, he gains a few precious months of being human; of having an opportunity to talk to ...

House of Night Series by P.C. & Kristen Cast

Image
So I wanted to do another blog post about my favorite books and talk about it. This is a very good favorite of mine called House of Night Series by writing mother-daughter pairing PC and Kristen Cast. Marked  The House of Night series is set in a world very much like our own, except in 16-year-old Zoey Redbird's world, vampyres have always existed.  In this first book in the series, Zoey enters the House of Night, a school where, after having undergone the Change, she will train to become an adult vampire -- that is, if she makes it through the Change.  Not all of those who are chosen do.  It's tough to begin a new life, away from her parents and friends, and on top of that, Zoey finds she is no average fledgling.  She has been Marked as special by the vampyre Goddess, Nyx.  But she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers.  When she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school's most elite club, is m...

Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber

Image
This is one of my favorite vampire book series of all time! Vampire Kisses The mansion on top of Benson Hill has been empty and boarded up for years. But a new family has moved in. A family that never ventures out during the day. Who are these creepy people -- especially the handsome, dark, and elusive Alexander Sterling? Or rather, what are they? Could the town gossip actually be true? Are they vampires?Raven, who secretly covets a vampire kiss, both at the risk of her own mortality and Alexander's loving trust, is dying to uncover the truth. I absolutely adore this series! In all honesty, I like this book series much better than Twilight. The main character in Twilight, Bella, was just so boring, and uninteresting. What I in particular liked about Twilight is how Meyer brought originality to vampires; no fangs, gorgeous, sparkling skin, and eyes that changed color when they drank blood. What I liked about this particular series is that it gives a spin to the classic vampire story...

Image

Evermore (Book 1) Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s life story by touch.   Going out of her way to shield herself from human contact to suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste . .  Ever sees Damen and feels an instant recognition.  He is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy, and he holds many secrets.  Damen is able to make things appear and disappear, he always seems to know what she’s thinking—and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and the random energy in her head.  She doesn’t know who he really is—or what he is.  Damen equal parts light and darkness, and he belongs to an enchanted new world where no ...
